Introduction
At ServerIQ, we take your privacy seriously. Your monitoring data is yours alone. The connection between your servers and ServerIQ is always secure and encrypted, and only you and the team members you authorize can access your monitoring data unless you explicitly grant us permission for support or troubleshooting. This Privacy Policy explains what information Nitrode Corporation O/A ServerIQ ("ServerIQ", "we", "our", "us") collects, how we use it, how we keep it safe, and your rights concerning your data.
Information We Collect
- Information You Provide: When you sign up for a subscription or contact us, you may provide personal details (such as your name, email address, organization, or payment information). We use this information strictly to process your requests and manage your account.
- Monitoring Data: When you install the ServerIQ agent on your servers, we collect metrics (CPU, memory, disk, network, processes), system metadata (hostname, OS, kernel), and any logs or events you configure the agent to forward. This data is used solely to provide the monitoring, alerting, and incident management features of the Service.
- Information Collected Automatically: We use cookies and analytics tools to collect non-personal data about site and dashboard usage (e.g., browser type, operating system, general location). This information helps us improve our website and services. No personal details are collected during this process.
How We Use Your Information
- Service Provision: We use your information to provision and maintain your ServerIQ account, ingest and display server metrics, evaluate alert rules, deliver notifications, handle billing, and communicate important service updates.
- Customer Support: If you request support, we will use your details to address any issues or questions. We can only access your monitoring data or servers if you specifically authorize us.
- Improving Our Services: We analyze general usage and performance data to enhance your experience. Any analytics are aggregated and do not identify individuals.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect our rights or the safety of our users.
Cookies and Tracking
- What Cookies Are: Cookies are small text files stored on your device to make your website experience smoother (e.g., remembering your login status).
- Why We Use Them: Our cookies help keep you logged in, preserve dashboard preferences, and collect basic analytics on how people use our site.
- Your Choices: You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, though some site and dashboard features may not function properly without them.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We only share necessary information with trusted service providers who help us operate our business. These providers must follow strong data protection standards.
- Analytics tools may receive limited technical data (like IP addresses or browser type) solely to provide usage reports.
Sub-processors
We use the following sub-processors to operate the Services:
- Mailgun (Sinch Email) — transactional email delivery, including account notifications and customer-configured alert emails.
- Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, and edge security for our marketing site and dashboard.
- Sentry — error tracking and performance monitoring for our own services.
- Payment processor — billing and subscription management. The processor receives the minimum information required to charge your payment method; ServerIQ does not store full card numbers.
A current list of sub-processors is available on request to [email protected]. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes to this list.
Email Notifications and Alert Recipients
ServerIQ sends two categories of email on your behalf:
- Account email: transactional messages (sign-in, billing, security) sent to the email address on the ServerIQ account.
- Alert and notification email: incident, alert, and status messages sent to recipient addresses you configure inside ServerIQ (for example, members of your team or shared on-call distribution lists).
You are responsible for ensuring you have authorization to contact any address, phone number, or notification endpoint you configure as an alert recipient. Recipients can opt out of future ServerIQ emails by following instructions in those messages or by contacting [email protected].
Data Security
- We protect your personal data and monitoring data through measures including SSL/TLS encryption for all transmitted data.
- Our infrastructure is hosted in high-level data centers, encryption at rest is applied where appropriate, and access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
- API keys and agent credentials are hashed and never stored in plaintext. We follow security best practices and regularly update our infrastructure to protect your information.
Data Retention
- We keep your personal information only as long as necessary to provide services or comply with legal obligations.
- Metric and log retention varies by plan and is described in your subscription. Once data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
Your Rights
- Access and Correction: You can request details of the personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct inaccuracies.
- Deletion: You may request we delete your data, subject to certain legal requirements.
- Opt-Out: You can disable cookies or choose not to provide certain information, although this may limit some features.
Do Not Sell My Personal Information
ServerIQ does not sell your personal information in the traditional sense of the word. However, certain US state laws (for example the California Consumer Privacy Act "CCPA" or, as amended, the California Privacy Rights Act "CPRA") define the concept of "sell" to include activity like when we share your personal information as part of our participation in affiliate advertising networks.
To opt-out of this kind of sharing, you can adjust your cookie preferences or contact us at [email protected] with "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" in the subject line.
California residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
International Transfers
If you reside outside of our primary operating regions, we may transfer your data across borders to provide our services. In all cases, we apply safeguards to protect your information.
Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be posted on our website along with the revised date. Continued use of ServerIQ indicates your acceptance of any updated policy.
